Job Description

This position sits within the Leveraged and Acquisition Finance team in Global Corporate and Investment Banking. We are looking for a high-performing intern to join our team and support the growing Leveraged Financing activity across our Private Equity sponsor clients.

  • Work across all aspects of the role to gain an all-round view of MUFG’s products and services offered to clients
  • Gain holistic experience across the deal life cycle, including origination, business proposals, deal execution and post-deal monitoring
  • Prepare pitch books to facilitate origination of M&A financing mandates and strategic financing dialogue with Private Equity sponsor clients
  • Support senior team members in the execution of financing transactions (credit analysis, structuring, financial modelling, valuation analysis, peer analysis, ratings analysis, etc.) and in periodic portfolio monitoring of leveraged finance deals
  • Gain professional growth by working with various experienced stakeholders within the team and co-working with different Banking products (Global Markets, Debt Capital Markets – Loans and Bonds, Sector Coverage, etc.)
  • Develop presentation and communication skills with the opportunity to present projects and/or case studies to business partners & management

Job Requirements

  • Keen interest in working in the finance industry with relevant prior internship experience
  • Strong skillset in financial modelling, pitch book creation, credit and financial statement analysis
  • Action-oriented, energetic, and entrepreneurial
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Collaborative approach with eagerness to learn
  • Strong ethical behavior and alignment with MUFG's core values

Location & Eligibility

This internship role is based in Singapore. It is open to Singaporean and PR students only. In Singapore, MUFG internship partners include National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
