Middle Office Credit and Account Management Intern

Internship Period: 3 August 2026 – 31 December 2026

Job Description

  • Prepare periodic sector reports, stress tests of the portfolio (e.g., pandemic impact, exchange rate volatility, crude price volatility) and support production of credit-related management information (MI).
  • Support the continuous development of regional/global credit risk frameworks, including the resolution of complex credit processes or credit operational issues.
  • Provide support to credit-related improvement projects and initiatives, including the update of credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Support in internal and external audits (Credit Examination, JFSA / MAS / BoJ / RBI / Statutory, etc.) by coordinating activities for the department; maintain credit files.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations. Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.
  • Collect relevant data and reports across the regional offices and build databases to support production of credit-related MI required for Management’s decision-making.
  • Build a workflow tracker for regional MOD CAM functions and track 1) accountability of task completion and 2) efficiency of task completion.
  • Understand the Middle Office workflow processes across APAC locations and draft standard operating procedures, workflow process maps and other department-related documents (including presentation materials).

Job Requirements

  • Background in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics and/or engineering science. Interest and knowledge of project finance and/or global markets products will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge and ability in numerical and statistical analysis of reports to interpret situational strengths and weaknesses. An ability to apply Porter’s 5 forces to identify potential headwinds in the foreseeable future is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications. Expertise in using SQL applications and Bloomberg is an added advantage.
  • Other required skill sets include problem-solving with an innovative and pragmatic approach, good interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset, the ability to work independently and under time pressure, multi-tasking while maintaining attention to detail with high accuracy; ability to analyse and interpret large datasets.
