About the Role

Join Goldman Sachs as part of the Investment Banking team in London. In this role, you will contribute to serving clients across the Natural Resources Group, advising on a range of financial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, equity/equity-linked and debt financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and financial investments.

Responsibilities

Analysts and Associates play a key role in developing and strengthening client relationships, participating on advisory teams, and structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and analyzing financial models
  • Organizing and preparing client presentations
  • Managing transaction processes
  • Assisting in structuring transactions

They gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and develop analytical, communication, and marketing skills while expanding their knowledge of the investment banking industry.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models and perform customized company valuation analysis
  • Participate in M&A transactions and fixed income/equity issuances
  • Prepare presentations explaining industry trends and client strategies
  • Coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers
  • Lead due diligence processes and participate in negotiations of legal documentation
  • Maintain client communication and help structure transactions

Skills & Experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Investment banking or equivalent experience
  • History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively across multiple groups and regions
