Software Developer (C++)

Position Overview

At Squarepoint, we use C++ to build the majority of our low latency and high-performance systems, which are directly responsible for executing the critical trading path. Your work in this domain will have a direct impact on our trading success by powering critical trading operations, serving low latency market data, or providing crucial market connectivity access to our daily trading operations. You may be involved in designing and implementing trading frameworks, centralized services processing massive volumes of data, or other high-volume distributed applications at Squarepoint.

Whichever project you work on, you will be pushing the boundaries of high-performance software and growing your skills in a highly collaborative work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a strong emphasis on software development
• Up to 4 years of experience in a relevant role such as software or quantitative development
• Experience with C++, Git, and Linux
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop professionally
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree with emphasis on low-level systems programming, high-performance computing, or a similar area
• Experience with any of the following: KDB+/q, Python
• Experience working in an investment or financial business
