Graduate Support Specialist

Position Overview

Squarepoint is looking for recent graduates who are hoping to kickstart their financial technology careers in a global team of exceptional Application and Infrastructure support specialists.

You will apply your technical and critical thinking skills, along with a keen curiosity about the financial markets, to support and fortify the stability of critical trading applications and infrastructure services. Required Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical/Electrical/Network Engineering or a similar discipline
• Working knowledge of at least one of: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Knowledge of Linux
• Good understanding of TCP/IP concepts
• General knowledge of database technologies
• Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work within a global team
• Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with us
• Curious and driven by the challenge of solving new problems

Nice to Have

• Some experience working in a similar environment, demonstrated through work experience or personal projects
• Knowledge of financial instruments
• Knowledge of experience programming front-end applications
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, GitLab, Prometheus, or Ansible
• An understanding of CI/CD or other Infrastructure as Code concepts

The minimum base salary for this role is $100,000 if located in New York. This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions. Successful candidates’ compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
