What sets Proxima apart
Proxima is a procurement and supply chain consultancy that Bain & Company acquired on 31 May 2022; at the deal Proxima said it "will continue to operate independently as part of Bain's specialist procurement implementation service line", which Bain's announcement states in the same words, and its LinkedIn page still describes it as part of Bain & Company.
Founded in 1994, its offices include London (headquarters), Chicago, Düsseldorf, Melbourne and Singapore. An applicant is therefore weighing a procurement specialist with a Bain parent, not a general strategy firm: the entry route is procurement consulting, so an application here suits a candidate committed to that field and sits beside, not in place of, applications to generalist consultancies.
