The Role

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivated design verification engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will help drive and improve AMD’s ability to deliver high-quality, industry-leading technologies to market.

The Verification Engineering team encourages continuous technical innovation, showcases successes, and supports ongoing career development.

The Person

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification. You are a team player with excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with engineers located across different sites and time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are willing to learn, and are ready to take on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tests for functional and performance verification at the core level.
• Build testbench components to support next-generation IP.
• Maintain or improve current test libraries to support IP-level testing.
• Create hardware emulation builds to verify IP functionality and performance.
• Maintain and improve the current hardware emulation environment to increase runtime performance and improve debugging capabilities.
• Provide technical support to other teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with processor design.
• Experience with load-store design.
• Familiarity with SystemVerilog and modern verification libraries such as UVM.
• Experience or background in computing or graphics is beneficial.
• Experience with OpenGL, OpenCL, or D3D programming is beneficial.

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
