As an Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals delivering consulting projects at client sites and within Guidehouse offices. A key function of this role is to contribute to, create, and present high-quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams. You will engage in research, analysis, documentation, and client-facing activities as part of a collaborative delivery team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to innovative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients, leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and tools.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to support project recommendations and solutions, inform strategic decisions, and develop actionable insights. This may include data collection, market research and analysis, benchmarking, and economic modeling.
  • Apply problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions aligned with client goals.

What You Will Need

  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
  • Minimum Degree Status: Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program graduating between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
  • Ability to accommodate an expected Summer 2027 start date.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity about the energy industry and a desire to make a tangible impact through consulting work.
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and plan work activities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location.

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Degree/majors in Engineering (Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical), Energy, Environmental Policy, Data Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong conceptual, quantitative, and qualitative analytical skills.
  • R, SQL, Analytica.
