We support and partner with the commerce ecosystem, from large retailers to small local merchants, providing tools, technology, and scale to thrive in today’s digital world.

Responsibilities

• Work extensively in a Flutter (Dart) codebase delivering seamless, cross-platform (e.g., Android and iOS) shopping experiences to Google Pay users.
• Partner effectively with Product Manager (PM) and User Experience (UX) leads to build new user-facing experiences, and collaborate with cross-Product Area (PA) partner teams (e.g., Google Shopping and Augmented Reality and Machine Learning (ARML)) to integrate AI/ML models into the client.
• Develop and iterate on Large Language Model (LLM) prompts and AI infrastructure to improve the quality of conversational AI experiences.
• Conduct AI evaluations, including operational and qualitative assessments for conversational AI responses and image/video GenAI results.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience with Android application development.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience with back-end coding languages such as Go (Golang), Rust, or Java.
• Experience in Machine Learning (ML) model coding languages (e.g., Python).
