Team Overview

Within Debt Advisory, the Ratings & Capital Structure Advisory team advises clients on ratings and generally all debt-related matters, including (for corporate clients) formal ratings advisory in first-time ratings or material corporate events (such as acquisitions, recaps, or corporate restructuring), capital structure advice, and partnership with M&A and financing products (corporate lending, DCM, ECM, and project finance) to understand transaction implications and optimize structure. The team also supports discussions with the Risk department on complex situations or transactions as required.

About the Job

This position will support the team in research, modeling, analysis, and presentation tasks needed to advise clients on ratings, capital structure, and generally all debt-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Support team seniors to perform research, modelling, analysis, and presentation tasks needed to advise clients on ratings, capital structure, and generally all debt-related matters.
• Model different corporates and scenarios.
• Work as a team with internal origination partners such as Corporate Lending, Project Finance, Project Finance Advisory, DCM, M&A, and ECM to support origination efforts.
• Stay up to date on general administrative and recordkeeping tasks assigned.
• Stay up to date with Rating Agency methodologies.
• Use and update all internal tools for recording activity, fees, staffing, and related information.

Qualifications

• Around 1–2 years of experience in a Financial Institution, Rating Agency, Boutique, or Corporate—ideally in Corporate Finance, Rating Advisory, Capital Structure Advisory, or any financing product.
• Basic skills in financial modelling and corporate finance, and ideally some credit analysis knowledge.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Spanish, French, German, or Italian is a plus.
• Ability to present analysis and thoughts in professional documents for external or internal clients with excellence in delivery.
• Ability to work in a team and strong motivation for continuous learning.
• BA in Business Management or Economics and/or an MBA, or a similar degree.
