Position Highlights
Business Performance Improvement consultants help clients in the areas of finance, operations, people, and change. Consultants collaborate with client teams (typically among the world’s leading companies) to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions to complex business problems.

Capability Areas
Business Performance Improvement consultants are hired into one of four areas:
- Finance Performance Management: Provides custom solutions to help finance leaders address current challenges and explore opportunities for continuous growth. Aligns people, processes, and technology to drive efficiency, productivity, and transformation—enabling change and creating value across the client organization.
- Financial Reporting Remediation & Compliance: Supports companies in navigating complex financial reporting situations to reduce risk of non-compliance and limit exposure to financial restatements and other costly non-routine situations (including restatements, mergers, and IPOs). Proactively monitors new accounting rules, alerts clients to changing requirements, and assists with complex accounting or reporting challenges.
- People & Change: Focuses on the human side of transformation by helping companies with people, talent, and skills components. Assists organizations in developing differentiated employee experiences to attract, retain, and engage talent, and enables sustained behavior changes to support large-scale initiatives.
- Supply Chain & Operations: Supports companies in driving outcomes by reducing cost, improving efficiency, reducing risk, and executing operations across complex business functions from Engineering, Source, Make, and Deliver through industry-leading practices and innovation.

Degree and Eligibility Requirements
- Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Project Management, Supply Chain, or other business majors).
- Visa Status: All applicants applying for U.S. job openings need authorization to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Graduation Status: Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of internship.
- Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI, etc.).
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements across various industries.
- Technical proficiency aligned to the assigned capability area.

How We Work
Protiviti practices a hybrid model that combines in-person work with purpose and remote work to support excellent work, connection, and collaboration. Requirements vary by client, project, team, and other business factors. Employees may work in-person in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, which can include local or out-of-state travel based on project and client requests and commitments.

Compensation
- Starting salary range: $75,000 - $92,000
- Bonus target opportunity: $2,000
- Estimated total cash range: $77,000 - $94,000
Benefits (Summary)
Employees may be eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage; FSA and HSA healthcare accounts; life and accident insurance; adoption and fertility assistance; paid parental leave up to 10 weeks; and short/long term disability. Protiviti offers a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of contributions. Paid time off includes Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time (up to 20 days per calendar year for new hires), and Protiviti recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
