Procurement Intern

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is offering an internship in procurement. Start date ideally September 2026, full time, fixed term for 12 months. Location: Swindon or London. Hybrid model with 2–3 days on site and the remaining days remote.

About the role

Join the RWE Offshore Wind team for an intern placement and gain insight into a dynamic and innovative sector. We are one of the largest offshore wind developers globally, actively growing our business. Our procurement team is a critical part of UK operations, collaborating with engineering and operations to secure the right quality parts and services at the right time and price, ensuring wind farms operate at maximum efficiency to power homes and businesses across the UK. This internship offers exposure to a global team and the chance to be embedded in a UK operational site or office, with opportunities to see how your work makes an impact.

Responsibilities

• Undertake supplier pre-qualifications
• Collaborate with the procurement team and key stakeholders to prepare invitation to tender documents
• Analyze and evaluate tender returns from suppliers and create price comparisons
• Attend supplier meetings
• Use the SAP system to raise purchase orders and SAP Contracts for suppliers
• Assist with developing category strategies and preparing contractual documents

Requirements

• Undergraduate student in supply chain, operations management, business, law or engineering with an option for a full-year industrial placement in the penultimate year; on track for a 2.1 or higher. Graduates in the same fields will also be considered
• Highly analytical with attention to detail; ability to think creatively
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication
• Ability to coordinate own workload, highly organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Enjoy working in a team and excited to develop skills in stakeholder management, influencing, and motivating others
• Keen to travel and attend meetings at other sites and offices in the UK and potentially Europe
