Overview

As a Startup Account Executive at Databricks, you will work with innovative, data-driven companies to drive adoption of the Lakehouse platform. You are creative, self-motivated, and experienced in both transactional and strategic sales processes. You can communicate product value, align customer vision with our platform, and guide deals to shorten decision cycles. You will prospect for new opportunities, close new accounts, and expand existing ones. The role includes accelerators above 100% quota attainment and reports to a regional sales manager.

Responsibilities

  • Build a territory plan within 30 days with a clear account prioritization strategy.
  • Align new and existing customers with the Lakehouse vision and ecosystem.
  • Handle a range of deals from faster transactions to large strategic opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets; prospecting is essential.
  • Maintain clear Salesforce and Clari hygiene, including use case, MEDDPICC, revenue forecasts, and account notes.
  • Lead with a customer-first mindset and focus on business value.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 1+ years of closing sales experience
  • Prior experience in big data, cloud, or SaaS sales
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and value propositions
  • History of exceeding sales KPIs and quotas
  • Experience closing new accounts while expanding existing accounts
