Project Description
This internship project focuses on developing an understanding of failure analysis methodologies within solid state drive technology. The intern will explore fault isolation concepts, data analysis approaches, and failure mechanisms through structured learning and guided exposure. The project provides opportunities to gain insight into storage systems, device behaviour, and analysis techniques used in diagnosing performance and reliability issues, while building foundational knowledge in engineering analysis and laboratory practices.
Objective of the Project
To develop a structured understanding of failure analysis processes and data interpretation methods for solid state drive technologies.
Project Scope
- Explore fault isolation concepts and data analysis approaches to understand potential failure mechanisms
- Gain exposure to storage technologies, including controller systems, memory components, and storage interfaces
- Learn the use of laboratory equipment such as optical microscopy and thermal imaging systems through guided sessions
- Analyse failure-related datasets to identify trends and patterns
- Document observations and learning outcomes related to failure behaviour and analysis techniques
