Personal Banker – SAFE Act (Entry Level)

Overview

The Personal Banker SAFE Act is an entry level position responsible for assisting in the execution of sales, products or service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The objective is to foster relationships with customers to build loyalty and help increase sales to individual consumer clients.

Responsibilities

• Work with business credit requests under $250K, recognize/refer larger lending opportunities and cross-sell treasury and related small business products
• Build referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the Member Get Member (MGM) Program
• Assist in strategies to grow the small business client and implement sales plans targeting Book of Business customers
• Deliver client services via outbound and inbound calls to acquire new relationships and deepen existing relationships through cross-selling relevant products and services while delivering a remarkable client experience
• Provide coaching and guidance to Tellers and other branch staff on products and programs, identify client needs, and provide appropriate referrals
• Recognize client transaction needs, educate on all service and digital channels, leverage technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities, and present product offers/financial solutions
• Understand and comply with Citi policies, standards and procedures
• Assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets by ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, adhering to policy, applying ethical judgment, and escalating/reporting control issues as needed

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education

• Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
