Our Global Products Solution (GPS) Technology team aims to strategically develop, strengthen and align the software engineering expertise and implement state-of-the-art platforms covering Execution, Sales and Trading.
Join our GPS Associate Programme, a structured two-year development journey designed for ambitious early-career professionals aiming to build a technology career in private banking.
As part of the Technology team within Platform & Services in Singapore, you will embark on a dynamic 24-month programme combining rotational assignments, intensive training, mentorship and project and task responsibilities. Through hands-on experience and continuous learning, you will develop the skills, network, and business acumen necessary to transition into a permanent role as an Application Support Analyst within GPS upon successful completion.
Key Features and Accountabilities
During the programme, you will rotate through 2 teams within GPS. You will have the opportunity to work directly with technologists and platform specialists to provide best-in-class support to our users across the region and contribute to building a more cohesive and efficient global support team within GPS.
Your challenge:
- Provide day-to-day application support for key business systems in trading and wealth management, focusing on providing best-in-class support to our front-office users
- Help investigate and document the root causes of common issues to support faster resolutions in the future
- Communicate clearly with users during incidents, keeping them informed and managing expectations
- Work effectively within local and global teams, collaborating closely and adhering to global IT support processes and service excellence standards
- Contribute to team efforts in reducing manual and repetitive tasks by identifying opportunities to automate routine support workflows
Regulatory Responsibilities &/Or Risk Management
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
YOUR PROFILE
Professional and Technical
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 2-4 years of professional experience (including internships).
- Experience of providing technology and business support across locations and applications.
- Prior knowledge of financial products, trade lifecycle management, order execution and key wealth management operations—including pre-trade suitability checks and the investment advice process—is considered a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of development life cycles such as Agile Methodology.
- Good understanding of database design with the ability to write scripts and complex SQL queries is desirable.
- Experience with a technology stack used in typical client-server architectures, e.g., Java, JavaEE, and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS), would be advantageous.
