  • Duration: 24 months

  • Location: Singapore

Who can apply?

  • Apply as a recent graduate, final year undergraduate, or master’s student in any discipline.
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) in any discipline.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Demonstrate methodical, logical, solution-driven thinking, with commercial awareness and a keen interest in finance topics and market trends.

What you can expect

You will receive a comprehensive induction and participate in group training to learn more about the BNP Paribas Group. Throughout the programme, you will be mentored by experienced managers and team members, and paired with a buddy from our early career cohorts to ensure you receive the resources you need to succeed.

Your Role

To support the M&A team in Singapore by providing high-quality corporate finance advice and M&A transaction execution to corporate, private equity, and sovereign wealth fund clients across Southeast Asia. You will be part of a growing team handling high-value deals.

M&A Deal Activity – Typical Responsibilities

  • Assume significant responsibility for various phases of transaction origination, execution, and overall growth of the firm.
  • Work closely with clients on M&A transactions, guiding them through due diligence, financial modeling, valuations, transaction document negotiations, and preparation of information memorandums and investor presentations.
  • Support senior bankers in origination efforts with idea generation and preparation of pitch books.
  • Build and review detailed financial models and perform financial and valuation analyses.
  • Be involved in end-to-end transactions from pitching through to closing.
  • Engage in significant client interaction.

What is required for you to succeed?

  • Experience in the financial services industry with prior exposure to M&A deals through internships or work in investment banks, private equity, in-house corporate finance teams, or Big 4 corporate finance groups.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of M&A processes.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
  • Degree in Finance or closely related area of Business Administration.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
