Job Summary

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the Graphics printhead in meeting the desired performance levels to deliver the expected customer experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional groups such as process, supply chain, procurement, and customer assurance. The product engineer is responsible for evaluating product/process changes, resolving quality issues, driving containment of affected parts during a quality escalation, and continuously reviewing and improving the product quality system.

Responsibilities

  • Own the form, fit, and function of the printhead used in commercial large-format printing applications.
  • Safeguard the factory quality of the Graphics Printhead.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolution of manufacturing quality issues and minimize the impact to end customers.
  • Develop and execute test plans to qualify product or manufacturing changes to ensure there is no impact to product performance.
  • Collaborate across the HP value chain to develop and implement measures to improve product quality and the factory quality system.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Material / Manufacturing / Chemical / Electrical engineering.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies, and environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Good understanding of quality assurance and process control knowledge.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and tight schedules.
  • Proactive, innovative, and self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of smart manufacturing technologies and data analytics is an added advantage.
