Vendor/Buyer Manager, Worldwide Grocery Category Management

Overview

Amazon is seeking a talented Vendor Manager (VM) to manage vendor relationships and set the strategic direction for their business on the Worldwide Grocery Category team. The ideal candidate brings experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical skills, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Excellent communication and Excel proficiency are essential. The role requires a self-starter who will own projects and solve business problems to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic negotiations with vendors and represent Amazon in meetings with vendor partners and their leadership.
• Develop long-term strategies and influence cross-category plans to deliver Amazon's goals while obsessing over customers.
• Work cross-functionally within Amazon and with assigned vendors.
• Design and implement scalable, simple, and automated solutions to address customer pain points and drive results.
• Create opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building.
• Audit metrics regularly, identify risks, prioritize business opportunities, and make recommendations to deliver results.
• Identify industry trends and develop innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives to support growth.

About the Team

The Worldwide Grocery Category Management team manages selection decisions and vendor relationships for the grocery category across all Amazon banners. We focus on creating exceptional shopping experiences that transform how customers discover and purchase perishable goods from Amazon. We aim to build compelling assortments, optimize the customer journey, and develop strategic vendor partnerships to drive category growth. We value collaboration, innovative thinking, and strategic execution, guided by data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience using Excel and other business analytics tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in online retail
• Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, or HTML

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is listed below. The total compensation package may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. • USA, NY, New York — 66,300.00 – 103,400.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Austin — 53,700.00 – 94,000.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington — 53,700.00 – 94,000.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle — 80,200.00 – 94,000.00 USD annually
