We are looking for candidates who think beyond conventional boundaries and push the limits of what is possible. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months and requires you to work from our London office 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and follow strict confidentiality as customer privacy is a core tenet.
- Work with data types including text, speech, audio, image, and video.
- Deliver high-quality labeled data using provided guidelines and in-house tools to meet KPIs, supporting Amazon's AI responsibly.
- Generate high-quality human insight data across modalities (text, image, video, audio).
- Make sound judgments and logical decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to pivot between different requirements as needed.
- Support daily operational deliverables for multiple task types within the team.
- Analyze root causes, identify error patterns, and propose solutions to enhance labeling quality and outputs.
- Identify day-to-day process and operational issues in Standard Operating Procedures and tools, and suggest changes to unblock operations.
- Provide on-floor support to clarify internal queries during execution as needed.
A day in the life
We are seeking a Machine Learning Data Associate (MLDA) to undertake foundational labeling tasks, such as dialogue evaluation on speech, text, audio, and video data. Your focus, concentration, multi-tasking ability, and meticulous attention to detail will help you deliver high-quality work while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to all applicable Amazon policies for securing information. You will join a diverse team with a shared vision of improving customers’ lives with practical, useful generative AI innovations. Basic Qualifications
- An Associate’s Degree or related work experience.
- CEFR C1+ fluency in Dutch.
- Written and spoken knowledge of English (CEFR B2+).
- Strong business writing skills with the ability to create reports, proposals, and professional correspondence.
- Advanced reading comprehension with the ability to analyze complex business documents.
- Developed analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong ability to interpret and implement detailed instructions across various projects.
- Proven attention to detail in managing complex tasks and documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated task execution ability with proven experience.
- Proven capacity to leverage open-source resources effectively for research purposes.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
- Project coordination or management experience (for support functions teams).
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships across departments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications.
