Global Investment Banking - ECM Analyst

Job Overview

Analyst in Equity Capital Markets (ECM) will participate in the full transaction execution cycle, including preparing pitch materials, conducting research, drafting client presentations for active transactions, and preparing internal memoranda for senior bankers and committees. The role requires strong functional skills in investment banking and the ability to collaborate with country coverage and industry teams. The candidate should be enthusiastic about their work and committed to JPMorgan’s values and mission.

You will join the global investment banking analyst program, alongside over 100 analysts across regions and teams, offering opportunities to build a network and develop as a professional at a top-tier global investment bank.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the origination and execution of the ECM business across various equity offerings, including IPOs, private placements, and block trades.
• Collaborate with investment banking coverage teams, equity syndicate, sales, and trading to stay abreast of market developments and investor sentiment.
• Prepare pitch and marketing materials and client presentations for active transactions.
• Conduct ad hoc, daily, and weekly analyses and research on economies, global equity markets, industries, companies, and products to support ECM execution and origination, including forming views on key themes and opportunities.
• Provide additional support to the Investment Banking and ECM businesses as needed.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in an investment banking front office role.
• Strong understanding of equity markets and equity products, as well as transaction cycles.
• Good knowledge of accounting and finance.
• Ability to work effectively under high pressure and multitask.
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
• Outstanding attention to detail, team-oriented mindset, effective communication skills, and initiative to work independently.
