Position

Personal Banker — SAFE Act (Entry Level)

Responsibilities

• Work with business credit requests under $250K, recognize/refer larger lending opportunities, and cross-sell treasury and related small business products.
• Build referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the Member Get Member (MGM) Program.
• Assist in strategies to grow the small business client base and implement appropriate sales plans for target Book of Business customers.
• Deliver client services via outbound and inbound calls to acquire new relationships and deepen existing relationships through cross-selling relevant products and services while delivering an exceptional client experience.
• Provide coaching and guidance to tellers and other branch staff on products, programs, client needs, and referrals.
• Identify client transaction needs, educate on service and digital channels, and leverage technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities and present product offers/financial solutions.
• Understand and comply with Citibank policies, standards, and procedures.
• Assess risk in business decisions, uphold the firm’s reputation, safeguard Citigroup and its clients/assets, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, apply ethical judgment, and escalate/control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies.
• NMLS registration; SAFE Act compliant.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
