The ideal candidate possesses experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills and understanding of Excel will be essential to your success. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to a successful result.

Key responsibilities

Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams, vendors, partners, and management. On a day to day basis, you will:

• Drive strategic negotiations with large vendors and represent Amazon when meeting with senior leaders
• Develop long-term strategies and significantly influence cross-category plans
• Work cross-functionally, both within Amazon and with the strategic vendor, and implement scalable, simple and automated solutions to address customer pain points
• Create opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building
• Audit metrics regularly, determine and prioritize business opportunities, identify risks and make recommendations to pursue
• Identify industry trends and develop innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives to support growth

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML
• Proficiency in Excel to refine data and prepare business reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in process improvement
• Experience managing large amounts of data
• Experience in financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, business development, consulting, negotiation or supply chain
• Experience in the Pet Food industry
• 1+ years of Amazon 1P or 3P experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Salary ranges vary by location:

USA, NY, New York — 66,300.00 - 103,400.00 USD annually

USA, WA, Seattle — 80,200.00 - 94,000.00 USD annually
