Advisory Intern, Management Consulting, Strategy & Innovation - Summer 2026 (New York)

Job Summary

The Management Consulting (MC) Intern uses their education and organizational skills to assist the MC practice in one segment—Healthcare Consulting, Operational Excellence, Transformation & Technology, Strategy & Innovation, People Strategy & Solutions, Turnaround & Restructuring, or Human Capital Management. • Healthcare Consulting - Improving financial and clinical performance for healthcare providers
• Operational Excellence - Driving financial, operational and technology improvement
• Transformation & Technology - We help you select and implement the right software, tools and vendors to support your business.
• Strategy & Innovation - Enhance strategic agility, clarify vision, and drive profitable growth for clients.
• People Strategy & Solutions - We help clients win on the people side of business through integrated culture, leadership, talent, and communications solutions.
• Turnaround & Restructuring - Bringing strategic stability to distressed organizations.
• Human Capital Management - We help you attract the right people, retain them, and facilitate their growth within your company.

The MC intern will be part of a team focused on serving the firm’s client base with experienced colleagues who will provide direction, coaching and learning opportunities.

Job Duties

• Assist with informational interviews and facilitate meetings with clients during the engagement process
• Assist in documenting project requirements and business processes
• Assist in developing initial deliverables and/or solutions to client issues
• Take minutes during meetings and produce a meeting summary to present to clients
• Leverage templates to prepare drafts of various reports, presentations and documentation
• Utilize research tools, databases and trade publications to understand a client’s industry
• Assist with research for and drafting of proposals
• Assist with documentation and work papers associated with client engagements
• Other duties, as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program; preferred focus areas include Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Communications, Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Health Sciences, or other relevant fields.

Experience

• Project delivery experience (preferred)
• Leadership experience (preferred)

License/Certifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Language

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially business/report writing
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Strong analytical and basic research skills
• Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects
• Willingness to travel based on client and practice needs

Individual salaries offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of factors including qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

California Range: $39.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Colorado Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Illinois Range: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Maryland Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Massachusetts Range: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Minnesota Range: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr

New Jersey Range: $38.00/hr - $42.00/hr

NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $34.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Washington Range: $35.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Washington DC Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr
