Operations and Resourcing Assistant – Financial Services Audit

Role overview
The Resourcing Team is the heartbeat of our firm. They understand what is happening on the ground, where we are headed, and how to drive us forward to deliver our strategy. The Operations and Resourcing Assistant focuses on the allocation and prioritisation of resourcing needs for the audit department, including editing resourcing requests from multiple stakeholders across the Financial Services Audit team. The role involves day-to-day tasks, project work, and ad hoc requests, supporting an efficient, effective, and professional resourcing coordination model to deliver high-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Resourcing coordination to action resourcing requests and changes on DayShape
- Handle day-to-day requests from team managers regarding resourcing allocation, prioritisation, managing college, study, exam and training time, as well as annual leave and CSR days
- Work closely with the Professional Qualifications team to ensure a clear understanding of qualification requirements across multiple study paths
- Action ad-hoc change requests in a timely, effective, and prioritised manner
- Assist with a range of operational duties within Financial Services Audit, with a focus on resourcing coordination within the FS Operations team
- Collaborate with the Resourcing Manager and the team to support local management and ensure the smooth operation of Financial Services Audit
- Challenge amendments to resource planning and implement clear policies for the use of staff and trainee resources, including specialisms and offshore use
- Identify solutions to manage resourcing conflicts/clashes and liaise with relevant Managers promptly
- Work with the Resourcing Manager to monitor metrics such as utilisation and identify initiatives to maintain positive trainee engagement
- Provide an exceptional audited entity experience and support audited entity initiatives, contributing to a positive impression at all touchpoints
Requirements / What you’ll bring
- Previous office-based experience preferred
- Experience in a resourcing role preferred, or an interest in/awareness of what a resourcing role involves
- Experience in the professional services industry or a similar corporate environment is beneficial but not essential
- Previous experience of DayShape or Workday is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to manipulate and interpret data and management information
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
