V.I.E Conduct & Control Officer – Singapore, H/F

As a V.I.E Conduct & Control Officer, you will join the Global Banking APAC Governance, Regulatory and Conduct team based in Singapore and operate within an extended regional scope. You will contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the permanent control framework and risk management of conduct and regulatory risks within the first line of defense.

Role responsibilities

• Participate in Conduct initiatives led by Head Office and the APAC Conduct & Control teams.
• Coordinate and prepare governance bodies related to conduct risk and monitor incidents and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with CCCO teams in other regions to implement cross-cutting regulatory remediation programs.
• Address structural topics such as governance of electronic and telephone communications, monitoring of exchanges, and data retention arrangements, in support of specialized teams.
• Contribute to impact analysis and implementation of regulatory changes, coordinating with Business, Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams; review existing processes, procedures, and control mechanisms.
• Contribute to internal and external audit activities; analyze findings, track recommendations, and conduct read-across exercises to ensure consistent treatment across relevant perimeters.

Expected outcomes and development

This V.I.E experience provides a deep understanding of Global Banking activities, regulatory challenges, and non-financial risk controls in a demanding international environment. You will develop recognized expertise in conduct risk, governance, and regulation while strengthening your ability to work with stakeholders across levels of seniority in a multicultural context. This transversal exposure serves as a strong stepping stone for roles in risk management, compliance, governance, or business management within BNP Paribas CIB or the Group, depending on opportunities and collaboration.

What we offer

• A monthly stipend determined by regulatory decree, composed of two parts: a common allowance applicable to all V.I.E assignments and a geographic allowance that varies by country (and sometimes city). The allowance is recalculated each quarter.

Profile sought

• Graduated with a minimum Bac+5 from a business school, engineering school, or university, with specialization in finance, law, risk management, audit, or compliance.
• Initial exposure to regulatory environments, internal control, or non-financial risk is an asset.
• Rigorous, analytical, and concise, comfortable in complex and international environments.
• Strong interpersonal and coordination skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
• Very good level of written and spoken English is essential to operate regionally and interact with all stakeholders.
