Who can apply?
- Apply as a penultimate or final year undergraduate in any discipline;
- On track for a GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 or above (or equivalent) in any discipline;
- Fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are an advantage); and
- Demonstrate an inquisitive mindset, with analytical skills, mathematical aptitude, and a keen interest in latest finance topics as well as market trends.

Position Purpose
The GM COO team is a transversal team within Global Markets (GM) responsible for business management of day-to-day operations of Front Office, while supporting senior management in business management. Within the GM COO team, the Singapore Business Management Team is responsible for Southeast Asia, India & Australia, and FXLM.COMM business. To ensure smooth operation of the trading floor, we analyze data and prepare reports for the management team. We also seek new ways to present data to provide additional insights to the management team. We now have an opportunity for an intern to join us to work with the team to future-proof our data analytics and provide first-in-class management reporting as the business grows. This role will provide insight into the business and the chance to work with the Business Management Team, Management, and Trading floor desk heads who have MIS needs.
Responsibilities
- Data Analytics & Re-design
- Perform business analysis and produce internal reports for GM.
- Review existing data and report templates.
- Refine and redesign existing reports.
- Design new reports to provide management with additional insights.
- Engage with the business to understand MIS needs and design relevant MIS.
- Contribution to internal efficiency & productivity initiatives
- Streamline and automate internal reporting processes.
- Improve data quality and consistency (including central repositories).
- Create, maintain, and update procedural documentation.
- Support the team in administrative tasks.
Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other disciplines with strong data analytics modules.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Word) with advanced Excel skills (including VBA).
- Preference for candidates trained in Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Strong English communication, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently with initiative.
- Ability to develop stakeholder relationships and work in a complex, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to analyze and break down complex issues into smaller components for resolution.
