As an intern with the GWB Digital Transformation & Modernisation Office, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to how emerging technologies, new ecosystems, and innovative business models are translated into value propositions for Corporate Banking. What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Research & Insights: conduct research on emerging technologies, trends, and ecosystems (e.g. digital assets, blended finance, energy transition), identify emerging players and customer use cases, and crystallise insights into potential value propositions for Corporate Banking
• Partnership Support: support partnership-related initiatives, including coordination with external partners such as industry associations, multilateral development institutions, financial institutions, and government agencies
• Stakeholder Engagement: participate in meetings, workshops, conferences, and roundtables with internal and external stakeholders
• Presentations & Reporting: prepare presentation materials, reports, and content to support discussions and decision-making
• Product & Initiative Support: contribute to design discussions, testing of new products or features, data analysis, and feedback on areas for improvement

Who You Work With

You’ll be part of the GWB Digital Transformation & Modernisation Office within Global Corporate Banking, working closely with business, product, technology, and external partners. The team drives innovation and modernisation initiatives across wholesale banking, collaborating across functions to deliver scalable and future-ready solutions.

Who You Are

• An undergraduate or postgraduate student with an interest in banking, finance, digital transformation, or innovation
• Curious about emerging technologies, ecosystems, and business models
• Comfortable using systems; familiarity with banking or finance is preferred
• Analytical, organised, and able to synthesise information clearly
• A confident communicator who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

• Hands-on exposure to re-engineering, automation, and digitalisation of credit journeys in wholesale banking
• Understanding of how emerging technologies and ecosystems are applied in Corporate Banking
• Experience supporting partnerships and external stakeholder engagement
• Development of research, analytical, presentation, and communication skills
• Insight into how digital transformation initiatives drive innovation and business growth
