What this opportunity involves

JLL is excited to open applications for our 2026 Apprenticeship program. We are seeking an Apprentice Electrical Engineer to join our team in London. This is an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in electrical servicing and repairs. The successful candidate will receive specialised training, combining work toward an externally accredited and assessed NVQ qualification, developing new skills and gaining valuable experience while on the job. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will be a qualified Electrical Engineer responsible for upholding high standards of quality and safety. Following a successful apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a permanent role within JLL.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical engineers with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• GCSE English (minimum grade 4) and Maths (minimum grade 5).
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Health and safety-conscious mindset.

Assessment

The recruitment assessment will take place in the week commencing 12 June 2026.

Apprenticeship Details

The course will be based onsite and at New City College (Block Release) from September 2026.
