About the Role

This role focuses on driving growth for Carousell in Singapore and Malaysia. You will lead marketing efforts to attract buyers and sellers and increase transactions across all goods categories, including Toys & Games, Collectibles, and Luxury Goods. You will also explore new social media platforms, such as Xiaohongshu, to connect with new user groups and strengthen brand presence. You will bring creative marketing campaigns to life from concept to execution, planning and managing campaigns across in-app and external channels, events, and partnerships, while staying attuned to local market nuances and trends.

What You Will Do

  • Own the local marketing calendar to achieve country-specific business objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Singapore and Malaysia markets and focus categories, tailoring campaigns with local insights, language, and channel preferences.
  • Design and implement marketing campaigns, including messaging and media plans, based on country needs, trending topics, and user behaviors; own marketing performance for your markets and report on business impact.
  • Run experiments to validate hypotheses and improve value proposition and user experience.
  • Manage new social media channels by planning content, producing posts, and engaging with consumers to build positive brand perception and adoption.
  • Experiment with AI tools to generate campaign ideas and adapt content for different audiences.

Qualifications

  • Proactive, creative, and resourceful with the ability to operate under constraints.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity; hands-on and capable of taking ideas from concept to execution quickly.
  • Quickly identify successful campaign elements and iterate on next steps.
  • Strong empathy for consumers and good intuition for resonant content.
  • Comfort with AI-native workflows to accelerate output and testing processes.
  • Experience managing social media content, including basic video and image editing skills.
  • Active social media presence on platforms like Xiaohongshu is a plus.
