Programme details

As an RBC BlueBay Summer Intern within the Data Management Office, you will gain exposure to the responsibilities of a data function within a major international asset manager. The team supports data operations, data analytics, data insights, ESG data, and data governance. The team is actively exploring responsible adoption and acceleration of AI. You will gain experience across these areas and more specific experiences in one or more areas, providing hands-on learning to support your career start.

Learning experiences

• Creating analytics and insights to support the front office (investment strategy, portfolio construction, security selection), Sales & Distribution, Client Servicing, Marketing & Communications using Tableau, Python, SQL and Excel
• Shadowing and supporting the ESG investment, data operations and data governance teams
• Reporting on, analysing, and extending Data KPIs
• Participating in continual improvement activities to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities to streamline workflows
• Collaborating with other data teams in different regions to document and compare procedures for transparency, alignment, consistency, and efficiency

What we look for

• Competence in Data Science, Data Analytics or Business Analytics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Basic competence in data analysis techniques and tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, SQL, Excel)
