Programme details
As a Summer Intern in RBC BlueBay Asset Management, you will be placed within our IT Engineering function to gain insight into the responsibilities of a full-time Analyst. You will design and implement solutions to deliver direct value to the RBC BlueBay London office using C# and .NET 8, SQL Server 2019, Python 3.11+, Pip, Azure DevOps, and Git as core platforms in our on-premises architecture. You will gain valuable exposure to the operations of a major international asset manager and hands-on experience to kick-start your career.
Learning from experience
During the programme, Summer Interns are given various projects to complete, which may include:
- Creating an Agile metrics dashboard for management hosted as a dynamic website.
- Building a website to manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Analyzing large data sets such as the history of work tickets and production support incidents to provide new insights and spot trends.
Training and development
You will be supported and developed in numerous ways throughout the programme, including:
- Access to PluralSight or Udemy online training, including curated pathways specific to RBC BlueBay’s technology stack.
- On-the-job training covering commercial and industry knowledge.
- Networking and shadowing opportunities.
- Social events with other intern cohorts within RBC.
What do we look for?
- Competence in C# or Python programming language.
- Comfortable delivering small projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass an online coding test.
