Programme details
As an RBC BlueBay Summer Intern within the Global Equities Team, you will gain experience and insights into the responsibilities of a Global Equities function within a major international asset manager. The team covers Portfolio Management, Client Management, Risk Management, Portfolio Analysis and ESG Analysis. The team is also at the forefront of exploring responsible adoption and acceleration of AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Please note, this opportunity is only available to students who graduate in 2028.
Learning from experience
- Shadowing the various sector specialists, portfolio management specialists, client management specialists and supporting the ESG investment function.
- Participating in continual improvement activities, such as conducting analyses to identify trends within current markets, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities, and reporting findings to the team.
- Collaborating with the team to understand the different functions and how they integrate to support strategic decision-making in portfolio adjustments.
- Understanding the stock review process, contributing to the creation and pitching of stock reviews to the team.

What do we look for?
- Students must be in their first year of a three-year degree, or second year of a four-year degree programme.
- A keen interest in how the Asset Management side of a Global Banking Business works and a desire to develop expertise in a Global Equities Investment team.
- Natural curiosity and a growth mindset with eagerness to learn market dynamics.
- Basic competence in data analysis techniques and tools, including Excel.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
