Programme Details

As an RBC BlueBay Summer Intern, you will be embedded within our dynamic Associates team, gaining hands-on exposure to the asset management business. This structured programme is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of our strategies and client-centric approach while fostering professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Learning from Experience

  • Develop and build an understanding of RBC BlueBay’s investment strategies, products, and services through on-the-job training.
  • Provide daily support to RBC BlueBay’s regional client-facing teams, handling a wide range of daily and ad hoc requests via group email queries.
  • Develop key relationships and contacts within the RBC BlueBay business to complete requests in a timely manner.
  • Build proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to help fellow associates update regular monthly and quarterly business reporting.
  • Document query management in the RBC BlueBay internal database (Salesforce) to ensure all stakeholders are aware of progress and contributing toward target completion dates.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests such as audit questionnaires and Salesforce updates, liaising with various teams within BD to support incoming requests.
  • Maintain the Associates’ key procedures handbook with ongoing updates.
  • Lead a project around client key personnel change notifications. Review clients’ legal documentation for notification requirements, ensure these are captured in internal systems, and complete an audit of change notifications over the last 12 months.

Training and Development

  • Gain hands-on experience with Salesforce for documentation, query management, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring efficient workflow tracking.
  • Lead initiatives such as key personnel change notification review, including data analysis, system updates, and process refinement to drive operational accuracy.
  • Take ownership of diverse tasks to develop agility and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience in automation and process improvement projects.
  • On-the-job training covering commercial and industry knowledge.
  • Networking and shadowing opportunities.
  • Social events with other intern cohorts within RBC.
