Programme details
As an RBC BlueBay Summer Intern, you will be embedded within our Fund Investor Operations & Client Data Management team, gaining hands-on exposure to the asset management business. This structured programme is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of our strategies and client-centric approach while fostering professional growth in a collaborative environment.
Learning from experience
- Develop and build an understanding of RBC BlueBay’s funds, management fees, clients, and the legal contracts surrounding these business relationships.
- Provide support to RBC BlueBay’s Global Business Development covering the collation of data and investments for their clients and legal contracts.
- Support the wider team on gap analysis and client data from the various Fund Administrators.
- Assist in monitoring daily client investments and reviewing monthly Fund AUM (Assets Under Management) to distribute to a wide variety of teams across RBC.
- Participate in administration projects to assist with document management into the RBC BlueBay internal databases and Salesforce.
- Opportunities to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with ad hoc requests such as linking investments to clients, Salesforce updates, and liaise with various teams within Global Business Development to support all incoming requests.
- Participate in a project involving accurate record keeping and file management for audit keeping and client maintenance.
Training and development
- Gain hands-on experience with Salesforce for documentation, query management, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring efficient workflow tracking.
- Join initiatives like a contract repository review, record keeping fulfillment, including data analysis with in-house AI, system updates, and process refinement to drive operational accuracy.
- Take ownership of diverse tasks to develop agility and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience in automation and process improvement projects.
- Gain understanding of the full client lifecycle process within the Asset Management sector.
- On-the-job training covering commercial and industry knowledge.
