Overview

Emerging Markets Local Sales is a cross-asset FICC Sales desk with a regional mandate covering the institutional investor base of Latin America from New York. The group interacts with governments, central banks, pension funds, banks, insurance companies, and all the major asset managers in the region, transacting in most FICC products, including foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives, bonds and CDS, repo, and commodities. Due to the regional expertise of the team, sales people work closely with Latam Structuring, Investment Banking, and Structured Credit Trading in originating and executing bespoke hedging and financing opportunities on the ground.

Role & Responsibilities

The position is part of the Emerging Markets Local Sales desk, focused on serving institutional clients in Latin America from New York. The team collaborates with Latam Structuring, Investment Banking, and Structured Credit Trading to originate and execute bespoke hedging and financing opportunities on the ground. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with key regional clients, understanding local market dynamics, and facilitating cross-asset transactions across foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, bonds, repos, CDS, and commodities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study
  • Preferred 6 months to 2 years' work experience in foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, bonds, repo, and commodities
  • Preferred bilingual ability in Spanish and English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and willingness to learn
  • Interest and knowledge in the markets

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000-$300,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
