Securities & Derivatives Associate Analyst
The Securities & Derivatives Associate Analyst is a developing professional role responsible for policy identification, applying specialty knowledge in monitoring and assessing processes and data, and integrating disciplinary knowledge within the own specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. The role requires a good understanding of how the team interacts with others to accomplish objectives, developing working knowledge of industry practices and standards, and the ability to exchange information concisely while respecting audience diversity. The impact is limited but direct through the quality of tasks and services provided, primarily within the associate's own team.
Responsibilities
- Individually mapped to this job description, responsible for securities transaction processing execution
- Typically related to Securities Clearance, Settlement, and Derivative Operations
- May include providing analytic support to traders and reviewing derivative products
- Supports an expansive and/or diverse array of products and services
- Follows established procedures to identify problems related to securities and derivatives settlement that require investigation or research
- Assists in resolving problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience, guided by precedents
- Delivers reports to satisfy management requirements, support control activities, and the launch of products/services
- Assists in implementing process improvements
- Minimizes risk to the bank by increasing knowledge of procedural requirements and monitoring errors to adhere to audit and control policies (including reconciliation, payment, and other processing systems)
- Timely management and escalation of all requests, inquiries, issues, and errors (primarily post-settlement)
- Demonstrates an intermediate understanding of products and processes and how duties relate and integrate with others in the team and closely related teams
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of bank-related systems
- Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders and exchange potentially complex, sensitive information while being sensitive to audience diversity
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, with emphasis on protecting the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with laws, rules, and regulations; adhere to policy, apply ethical judgment, and escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in Treasury Operations or Middle Office
- Good understanding of Treasury products, accounting, and regulatory policies
- Ability to work in a structured, high-volume, time-sensitive, high-risk, and demanding environment
- Good analytical skills and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of Macros
Education
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $55,341.00 – $68,270.00
