Senior Technician - Electrical (Submarine)

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of marine electrical systems and components in workshops and onboard vessels.
• Supervise a team of electricians in planned and corrective maintenance.
• Perform corrective maintenance and planned maintenance.
• Conduct electrical wiring, cabling, and modification of electrical circuits.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as multimeters, insulation testers, and process calibrators.
• Participate in the repair of electrical components in workshops and onboard ships.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience in power engineering and maintenance of electrical components.
• Knowledge in reading electrical circuit diagrams.
• Experience in testing/calibration of high/low voltage equipment or fault analysis.
• Knowledge of both electrical and electronic systems.
• Experience in DC systems is preferred.
• Able to lead and manage a small team to complete jobs assigned.
• Able to motivate and create a positive working environment and culture in the department.
• Willing to work in the Changi area.
• Able to work in outdoor environments—heat, grease, dust.
