Engineer -Hull Ops (Submarine)

Responsibilities

• Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man-hour returns, and coordination of all site issues for repair projects.
• Liaise with customers and comply with inspection requirements.
• Monitor job progress and ensure quality work is completed to the targeted schedule.
• Study and evaluate the department's work processes and methods, and explore ideas to improve quality and productivity.
• Resolve technical problems or issues with customers.
• Evaluate technical and engineering requirements of the jobs.
• Prepare reports on job status and project completion.
• Conduct risk assessment and hazard reporting.
• Attend VSCC meetings, progress meetings, production meetings, etc.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering or related fields.
• Applicants with no prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Ability to read and understand 2D drawings.
• Willingness to perform hands-on work on repairs, installations, and removals using tools such as spanners, wrenches, and electrical tools (e.g., grinders, cutters).
• Physically fit to work under hot, dusty, and greasy conditions and in confined spaces.
• Able to work overtime or extended hours as required by the job.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Only Singapore Citizens need apply.
