Analyst
Investment Banking Analysts gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and deepen knowledge of the investment banking industry. They develop key analytical, communication, marketing, and sales skills, build and analyze financial models, perform scenario analyses, and evaluate client alternatives. Analysts prepare presentations that explain industry trends, discuss options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. They participate in and conduct due diligence sessions as part of financial transactions. From maintaining client communication to helping structure client transactions, Analysts are a vital part of Goldman Sachs’ banking teams.
Responsibilities
- Create and analyze financial models; perform scenario analyses and tests to evaluate client options.
- Prepare and organize presentations explaining industry trends, client options, and recommended strategies.
- Participate in and conduct due diligence sessions as part of transactions.
- Support client communication and assist in structuring client transactions.
- Assist in process management, financial modelling, preparation of client materials, and due diligence.
Basic Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in investment banking or infrastructure/credit funds
- Drive, enthusiasm, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong quantitative and technical abilities
- Outstanding academic record
- Personal integrity, initiative, and leadership qualities
- Strong communications, multi-tasking, and time management skills
Team Overview
- The team is part of Global Infrastructure and Real Asset Financing (IRAF) within the Capital Solutions Group (CSG)
- We originate, structure, and execute transactions as an arranger, underwriter, or principal lender
- We are sector- and product-agnostic and consider a broad spectrum of “infrastructure” assets, including digital infrastructure, renewables, transportation, energy, and related infrastructure
- Analysts focus on (i) process management, (ii) financial modelling, (iii) preparation of client materials, and (iv) due diligence
