About Talbot

How you will create an impact
- Ensure all documentation is scanned and indexed into the DMS system as it comes through the Core Team.
- Ensure data entry complies with agreed guidelines (endorsements, quotes, promise lines).
- Maintain consistent field use within the Core Team.
- Ensure accuracy and resolve any ambiguities in data entry manuals, escalating issues as needed.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of entry for endorsements.
- Attend and prepare necessary documentation for Core Team meetings and for the monthly Operations meeting.
- Act as a SME and/or super user on underwriting systems as required.
- Ensure personal and allocated class(es) compliance with the document retention policy.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with Underwriters and Capita.
- Act in accordance with all regulatory standards and principles.
- Perform ad-hoc and general administration duties as required.
- Run, update and upload the PMD report to Lloyd’s before the 15th of each month.
Premium Management
- Prepare, produce and distribute weekly premium management reports (e.g., large movements and signed variance reports).
- Collaborate with all Underwriting Teams on Premium Management data integrity, allocation, and query resolution.
- Responsible for USM processing and corrections where applicable.
- Process and validate risks signed through Xchanging; validate all Underwriting Signing Messages (USMs).
- Carry out daily postings to meet end-of-month processing deadlines.
- Coordinate with UTS, Underwriting, Xchanging and Brokers on processing queries and monitor until resolved.
- Identify and liaise with underwriters to pursue partial risks where premium has been processed through Xchanging.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Excellent general computer literacy. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Detail-oriented.
- Diploma/Degree in any field; Chartered Insurance Institute designation preferred.
- Able to operate independently with little direction; a self-starter.
- Able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Strong team-working approach.
- Strong analytical skills with a calm, rational, methodical approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels and strong negotiation abilities.
