Citi’s Institutional Clients Group is looking for Full-time Analysts to join the Global Spread Products Financing and Securitization – Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Team in NAM. GSP Financing & Securitization integrates our premier global syndicate and distribution capabilities into one consolidated platform to deliver financing and capital markets solutions across the capital structure.

What the Role Involves

The Analyst will work within our US Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) originations & underwriting team, dedicated to a specific originator focused on loans in the US, based in New York City. Responsibilities include working with an Originator on deal sizing, supporting the underwriting process, and preparing credit briefs/Asset Summaries and financial analysis packages that assess the financial feasibility and creditworthiness of CMBS and balance sheet loans. Additional duties include asset inspections, coordinating with internal appraisers and engineers, closing staff, outside counsel, and due diligence vendors. Other responsibilities include analyzing property financial statements, resolving issues that arise in third-party reports, reviewing borrower financial statements, understanding and summarizing legal documents, and presenting transactions to senior managers, rating agencies, and buyers for approval.

Qualifications

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
• You have full-time professional experience or Summer internships in commercial real estate finance, credit underwriting, CMBS, CRE asset management, or a closely related field.
• You graduated with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
