Sector & Specialised Lending (S&SL) Internship

What does Sector & Specialised Lending (S&SL) do at ING?

We have a great opportunity to join for six months as an intern analyst in the Sector & Specialised Lending (S&SL) team, which is part of Lending Transaction Management of ING Wholesale Banking in Singapore. The S&SL team provides execution solutions across a spectrum of specialised lending products, including project finance, object finance, structured corporate debt, and other cash flow- or asset-based lending in real asset sectors including energy, telecom, media, technology and healthcare, metals & mining, food & agriculture, real estate and infrastructure and transportation, logistics and automotive.

What would you be doing?

The candidate will work closely with other members of the S&SL team, sector bankers/relationship managers, and other product stakeholders (debt & capital advisory, loan distribution, financial markets, trade services) on key lending execution processes through the life cycle of specialised financing mandates. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and processing credit applications including credit and comprehensive risk analysis and financial analysis;
  • Developing and managing financial models with sensitivity analysis;
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of financing documentation including term sheets and financing and security agreements;
  • Preparing financing proposals and pitch documents;
  • Assisting in identifying and monitoring market developments and opportunities in relevant sectors;
  • Staying current on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e., Risk, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are implemented and followed, and facilitate accordingly.

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

  • We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:
  • You should have legal work rights in the country of internship.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
