Position Summary

Guggenheim Securities is seeking a Junior Salesperson in the Equities Division, focused on the TMT sector. This role supports the development of specialized distribution capabilities and delivery of world-class research to institutional clients. The successful candidate will be capable of expanding the client base and generating incremental revenue, and will work with Sales, Research, Trading, and Corporate Clients. The position will cover TMT sales across multiple geographies, primarily NYC/CT, CA, and Florida. The role is based in New York City.

Essential Job Functions

  • Primary responsibility is selling both our primary and secondary Equities products to institutional accounts with a TMT focus
    • Primary business generally refers to our ECM product and franchise
    • Secondary business generally refers to output from our Equity Research Department, and includes Corporate Access
  • Participate in morning research meetings and craft daily research sales memos for clients
  • Attend intra-day meetings and conference calls and highlight noteworthy changes
  • Develop strong working relationships with equity sales, trading, and research teams
  • Maintain a database of client contact lists and build industry call sheets
  • Host in-person and virtual client meetings
  • Act as primary client relationship manager for designated account base

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent client-facing skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients regarding access to systems and our products
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, well-organized, and adaptable to changing situations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present relevant facts for business decisions
  • Collaborative approach and energy for open idea exchange in a fast-paced environment
  • Values teamwork while capable of independent work
  • Fast decision-making, mental discipline, and the ability to solve problems under pressure

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • Institutional sales experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Active FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, or ability to obtain within 3 months

Work Location

  • Currently, this role is expected to be in NYC at least four days per week, with some limited travel

Salary

  • Annual base salary of $100,000
  • Actual base salaries may vary by location and experience; total compensation may include incentive components
