Overview
Client Operations is part of the Assets & Wealth Management (AWM) Operations Team, supporting all aspects of client onboarding including the fulfilment of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements for the Wealth Management division of JPMorgan Chase.
Position
As an Analyst within the Client Operations team, you will ensure all client KYC records comply with regulatory standards and that client-level due diligence is completed to a high standard and on time at onboarding and renewal. You will contribute to a project that uplifts existing client records and data to current KYC standards for source of wealth corroboration. You will also assist the Client Onboarding team by preparing client documentation and supporting colleagues through the management of account forms.
This role is intended for an initial term of approximately 1 year; however, subject to business needs, the contract may be extended or converted to permanent employment.
Job Responsibilities
- Validate source of wealth corroboration according to firm guidelines.
- Review client documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Review and update applicable systems that support the onboarding approval process.
- Coordinate with compliance and control functions regarding regulatory audits, requests, and initiatives.
- Represent the team and participate in KYC/AML-related discussions with front office teams.
- Assist in the preparation of account opening forms to be sent to clients.
- Share information, knowledge, and expertise with peers and team members.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is the norm
- Capability to handle escalations and drive to resolutions
- Ability to identify and focus on issues holistically while being detail-oriented and independent in thinking when analyzing
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in AML/KYC, Customer Due Diligence, risk management, audit or compliance, with focus on KYC/AML
- Broad knowledge of rules and regulations for various Asia jurisdictions (particularly Hong Kong and Singapore), with focus on KYC/AML
- Knowledge of Private Banking/Wealth Management business
- Proficiency in written and verbal Mandarin, as the role may require reviewing documents in Mandarin to support China clients
