Responsibilities

Houlihan Lokey offers an off-cycle internship opportunity at our Singapore office that uniquely prepares you for a full-time position. The internship provides exposure to valuation and transaction assignments for clients across various industries.

  • Gain on-the-job training with exposure similar to a first-year analyst.
  • Work closely with and receive direct feedback and mentorship from senior professionals.
  • Support lean project teams by assisting in providing valuations of illiquid debt and equity securities to credit funds, hedge funds, private equity firms, financial institutions, corporations, and other investors.
  • Assist in updating financial models, drafting client deliverables, conducting market research, and presenting analyses and conclusions to the internal team.
  • Remain adaptable and collaborative in a fast-paced environment while contributing to valuation and transaction assignments.

Successful completion of the internship may be considered for a future full-time analyst position.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • You must be entering your final year of study or a recent graduate.
  • Strong academic record with coursework in accounting and finance; pursuing or holding a degree in accounting, economics, or a related finance-field major.
  • Fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
  • Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Japanese is desirable.
  • Previous internship experience within Big Four valuation advisory services, investment banking, or related fields is essential.
  • International experience is desirable but not required.
  • Motivated and able to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but rewarding environment.
  • Singapore citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit in Singapore.
