Job Responsibilities
- Execute money market dealings under controlled supervision.
- Monitor and project daily cash positions; execute money market transactions to ensure funding mix and funding cost align with the Bank’s strategies while liquidity and interest rate risks remain within predefined limits.
- Hedge risks embedded in Asset-Liability Management (ALM) through money market and FX swap products based on global fundamentals analysis.
- Monitor and advise on impacts of economic and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with regional offices and relevant divisions to manage ALM issues and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Work with Product Offices from MUFG Bank and MUFG entities to provide feedback on new products, support leveraging products and expertise, and maintain relationships for future opportunities.
- Partner with Head Office and stakeholders to minimize funding expense globally while maintaining funding gaps and other risk-related limits.
- Build relationships with financial institutions in the region to promote products and create business opportunities in partnership with Treasury Department Managers.
- Drive liquidity improvement strategies with Branch Management to improve the balance sheet’s liquidity.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure smooth reporting and processing of transactions for accuracy and customer convenience.
- Provide competitive transfer pricing and ensure ample liquidity to support customer-oriented business growth; set fair and prudent benchmark rates.
- Support understanding of local regulatory requirements and audit outcomes; assess and recommend funding and investment plans for branches to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Assist in managing the department’s risk profile by monitoring regulatory changes, branch liquidity, and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Participate in relevant regional committees.
Requirements
- Degree qualification required.
- Financial Markets Regulatory Practices (FMRP) certificate preferable.
- Proficiency in Thomson Reuters Eikon, Bloomberg, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferable.
- 0–2 years of corporate banking experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and present solutions.
- Knowledge or familiarity with data analysis, automation, and reporting tools (e.g., RPA, Tableau) preferable.
