Position: Quantitative Trader / Researcher

As a member of one of Tower’s trading teams, you will use Tower’s in-house trading system—one of the fastest and most comprehensive in the world—to develop and deploy algorithmic trading strategies based on patterns in market behavior.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy trading algorithms
• Research high- to mid-frequency alphas
• Explore trading ideas by analyzing market data, market microstructure, and alternative data for patterns
• Create tools to analyze data for patterns
• Contribute to libraries of analytical computations supporting market data analysis and trading
• Develop, augment, and calibrate exchange simulators

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree from a top-tier university in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or an equivalent STEM field
• Experience in high-frequency or quantitative trading preferred but not required
• Strong background in mathematics and statistics
• Proficiency in back-testing, simulation, and statistical techniques such as auto-regression, auto-correlation, and Principal Component Analysis
• Solid data-mining and analysis skills, including experience handling large datasets and tick data
• Familiarity with signal generation and statistical models
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
