What sets Aircall apart
Aircall reached unicorn status in June 2021 with a $120 million Series D round led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management, pushing its valuation past $1 billion on more than $226 million raised to date and making it one of a small number of French-founded unicorns.
In May and June 2026 the company made two AI-focused acquisitions within five weeks of each other: Vogent, a San Francisco voice-AI startup building the speech-model and turn-taking technology behind Aircall's AI Voice Agent, and Piper AI, which converts calls, emails and meetings into structured CRM updates and automated pipeline workflows. Both deals extend Aircall from a cloud phone system into what the company calls an AI-native revenue platform, rather than adding a single new feature.
Two acquisitions inside five weeks signal a product surface that is changing fast: a candidate joining an engineering, product or GTM team here is likely to be integrating newly acquired technology into the core platform rather than working against a stable, multi-year-old roadmap.
