Posted 2025-09-21; applications close 2026-10-30. **Apply**: https://eyglobal.yello.co/jobs/1lw4u0SQ6KepQdOcjn2TYA Posted 1y ago. ## Role details ## The Opportunity EY’s Forensic Technology team comprises technical specialists who practice digital forensic investigations across the entire EDRM lifecycle—from initial data scoping and collection through processing, analysis, production, and reporting. This growing team is part of the Forensic & Integrity Services practice, specializing in forensic technology services including Digital Forensics and eDiscovery. Because we serve a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, you will tackle a wide range of technology challenges, spanning incident response, forensic investigation, litigation, and regulatory response. EY Privacy and Cyber Response professionals assist organizations in defending against and preparing for complex cyber-attacks. Our Forensic Technology lab provides the necessary infrastructure and tools to accelerate fact-finding in diverse scenarios. ## Key Responsibilities - Support the collection, processing, and management of large volumes of digital evidence, including electronic communications, documents, and records from various information systems. - Support clients in performing digital forensic analysis and reporting utilizing the Forensic Technology lab and/or client sites. - Accelerate fact-finding processes for investigations using Forensic and eDiscovery technology. - Support the innovation, development, and documentation of new procedures and workflows in digital forensic analysis and eDiscovery methodologies. - Assist in deploying eDiscovery solutions for current and prospective clients. - Support the production of electronic records to counsel, clients, and authorized third parties. - Assist in resolving client requests during the review stage of an eDiscovery engagement. - Utilize a range of industry-standard software to develop custom solutions tailored to client requirements. - Apply a problem-solving approach to overcome both technical and operational issues as they arise. - Assist in preparing comprehensive documentation, including working papers, schedules, and reports for delivery to clients and other stakeholders. - Participate in cyber response and cyber-attack investigations to analyze artifacts from compromised machines and determine root cause analysis. ## Skills and Attributes for Success - Demonstrate a drive to continuously expand understanding of client industries, identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. - Possess the ability to communicate complex technical events and analyses effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with an understanding of potential legal implications. - Be familiar with threat intelligence and its applications within incident response and forensic investigations. - Have experience in malware analysis and a solid understanding of attack techniques. - Be experienced in interpreting, searching, and manipulating data within enterprise logging solutions. - Be experienced in working with network, host, and user activity data, specifically identifying anomalies. - Possess strong knowledge of host, network, and cloud forensic processes, tools, standards, and techniques, such as log correlation and analysis, forensically handling electronic data, and computer security investigative processes (including malware identification and analysis). - Possess strong knowledge of cyber incident readiness, including cyber risk assessment, playbook development, simulation drills, and compromise assessments. ## Qualifications and Requirements ### Required Qualifications - Background in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or a related field. - Solid knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Security topics. - Excellent documentation skills with the ability to prioritize effectively when managing multiple engagements. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical, and interpersonal skills. ### Preferred Qualifications (Ideal to Have) - Certifications in digital forensics or eDiscovery, such as EnCE, CCE, CCFP, GASF, GCFE, CFCE, CCME, GREM, or Nuix/Relativity-related certifications. - Certifications such as GSE, GCFA, GCIH, GNFA, OSCP, CEH, or CHFI. - Working knowledge of tools such as EnCase, Cellebrite, Axiom, and Oxygen Forensics. - Experience using eDiscovery tools including Relativity, NUIX, and other eDiscovery platforms. - Experience in evidence seizure, chain of custody management, data collection, and/or host-based forensics. - Knowledge of executing data collection in cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GSuite, and/or Office 365). -
